Post Treatment Instructions: Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)

Immediately after the treatment, during the healing process, minor itching, hives, flaking or redness may appear. Please do not pick, squeeze or agitate your skin during the recovery period, this will go away!



Avoid the following activities for up 2 days following a Collagen Induction Therapy.

  • Direct ultraviolet light exposure (sun or sunbeds)

  • Excessively hot showers, bathing, spas or saunas

  • Intensive exercise

  • Further clinical treatments (including, but not limited to: Microdermabrasion, laser, IPL, Chemical peels, Botox and Dermal fillers)

  • Swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean

  • Tattooing (including cosmetic tattooing)


Avoid using skin care products containing any of the following active resurfacing ingredients for up to 5 days following Collagen Induction Therapy.

  • Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) (glycolic, lactic or malic acids)

  • Beta hydroxyl acid (BHA) including Salicylic acid

  • Bezoyl peroxide

  • Retinoids

  • Hydroquinone

  • High levels of kojic or azelaic acid

  • Alcohol (isopropyl, de-natured and rubbing)

For up to 3 days post treatment, extra moisturiser may be required. A light non-occlusive and non-comedogenic make-up may be applied 24 hours post treatment.
